The Guatemalan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINEX Guatemala) has recently used its official social media platform to share public service announcements and diplomatic messages. The ministry’s posts range from requests for assistance in locating citizens’ relatives to expressing congratulations on international occasions, as well as highlighting new governmental initiatives.
On November 10, 2025, MINEX Guatemala posted a call for help to the public: " #ServicioSocial | Se necesita contactar a los familiares o conocidos del guatemalteco Ferdinan Velásquez Gómez." This message sought assistance in reaching the family or acquaintances of Ferdinan Velásquez Gómez.
A day later, on November 11, 2025, the ministry extended greetings to Poland on its national holiday: " | Guatemala saluda y felicita al Pueblo y Gobierno de #Polonia en ocasión de su Día de Independencia. #RelacionesConElMundo @PolandMFA @EmbaGTPolonia". The post was directed at both Polish government institutions and their embassy.
Later that same day, MINEX Guatemala highlighted an initiative addressing support for pregnant girls: "La SVET presentó la Ruta de Atención a Niñas Embarazadas, una herramienta interinstitucional que garantiza atención integral y digna para las niñas en esta situación. https://t.co/5ogDavOD5B". The announcement referenced SVET’s presentation of a comprehensive care pathway designed to ensure dignified and holistic attention for young girls facing pregnancy.
MINEX Guatemala is responsible for managing the country’s foreign affairs and consular services. Its recent communications reflect both ongoing efforts to support Guatemalan citizens abroad and its engagement with international partners through diplomatic channels. The referenced SVET program represents part of broader government strategies aimed at providing protection and resources to vulnerable populations in Guatemala.
