The Foro de Innovación Tecnológica (FIT 2025) will take place at Universidad Galileo from October 7 to 10. The event is recognized as a major platform in the region for discussions on science, technology, and innovation.
FIT has been held for 16 consecutive years, bringing together experts, students, entrepreneurs, and companies to discuss current and future trends in technology. This year’s edition is supported by companies such as AutoControl, OMRON, and Electronic Cats. Specialists from countries including France, Brazil, Mexico, El Salvador, Romania, and the United States are expected to participate.
The program includes six parallel tracks, a social innovation hackathon, workshops, and conferences based on the Learning by Doing methodology. Organizers highlight the event’s role in inspiring and connecting people interested in learning about entrepreneurship and innovation.
Twelve international speakers will headline FIT 2025:
- Monserrat Tapia (Mexico), industrial designer and co-founder of Creative Women. She creates content for global platforms like Crehana and serves as an ambassador for the International Telecommunication Union.
- Emelyn Medina (Mexico), mechatronics engineer with multiple gold medals in international robotics competitions. She promotes STEAM education among youth and women.
- Alexandra Covor (Romania), integrated systems engineer who develops open-source hardware focused on merging art, technology, and education.
- Edicley Machado (Brazil), executive with over two decades of experience in industrial automation. He manages projects at Omron Americas.
- Genaro Herrera (Mexico), senior sales manager at National Instruments for Latin America with expertise in instrumentation and control systems.
- Daniel Calderón (El Salvador), project engineer at Grupo Autocontrol Guatemala specializing in hydraulics and industrial control systems.
- Andrés Sabas (Mexico), electronics engineer and co-founder of Electronic Cats known for developing cybersecurity products with global reach.
- Eduardo Contreras (Mexico), CTO of Electronic Cats focused on open-source embedded systems.
- Juan Urbano (Argentina), cybersecurity consultant specializing in secure mobile applications.
- Julio Seaman (Honduras), senior physics engine programmer at Ubisoft Paris involved in well-known game franchises.
- Eli Hughes (United States), director of Wavenumber LLC with experience spanning IoT, acoustics, robotics, industry collaboration with NXP Semiconductors, and teaching at Penn State.
