On September 11, 2025, Universidad Galileo and Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI) held a graduation ceremony for 74 employees from brands such as Pollo Campero, Pollo Granjero, and Pizza La Siciliana. The event marked the completion of higher education studies by these employees through the university’s Escuela Técnica (ESTEC).

The initiative is part of a collaboration between Universidad Galileo and CMI aimed at supporting personal and professional growth among staff members. According to Ing. Ricardo Castillo, Director General of Restaurants & Retail at CMI, “This alliance represents the continuity of a history of more than 100 years in which we have put our people at the center of everything we do. Academic training with Universidad Galileo opens new opportunities for personal and professional growth for our collaborators, strengthening their skills and ensuring that they can fully develop in their career paths.”

Castillo also highlighted how this training benefits business performance: “We are inspired to accompany our collaborators on their path to growth, with the conviction that each academic achievement also represents progress for them and their families. This knowledge will be reflected in the quality of services and products we offer to our customers and communities, resulting in more efficient processes, superior experiences at our points of sale, and sustainable growth for the company.”

From an academic perspective, Ing. Carlos Arandi-Klee, Director of ESTEC at Universidad Galileo, emphasized the importance of such partnerships: “To confirm Dr. Eduardo Suger’s vision regarding links with companies for ongoing staff training, Universidad Galileo develops specialized programs.” He added that agreements like this one allow private companies such as CMI to provide employees with access to university studies that support their professional advancement within the organization. “This relationship strengthens knowledge and technical skills among staff members, favoring competitiveness and productivity within the company,” said Arandi-Klee.

Universidad Galileo has created institutional degree programs delivered online using both asynchronous and synchronous classes designed around employee work schedules. The university maintains ongoing dialogue with CMI’s technical, operational, administrative, and financial departments to ensure its training programs meet industry needs.

For CMI, this effort aligns with its corporate values known as REIR—Responsibility, Excellence, Integrity and Respect. Lcda. Paula Massagli, Human Resources Director at R&R stated: “By promoting education among our teams we honor our purpose to generate life-changing opportunities with family warmth. We are convinced that education is one of the most powerful keys for individual growth and societal transformation.”

Ing. Arandi-Klee further noted: “At Universidad Galileo we firmly believe that education is a transformative tool that opens doors and creates opportunities. With alliances like the one established with CMI we reaffirm our commitment to deliver quality training to the productive sector contributing to comprehensive development for individuals as well as national progress.”

Both organizations expressed interest in expanding academic offerings into areas such as administration, finance, security and information technology in order to continue enhancing employee competitiveness innovation capacity—and thus drive positive sustainable impact within their companies’ operations.
