On February 28, Universidad Panamericana (UPANA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the European Centre for Career Education (ECCEDU). The agreement aims to offer UPANA students and alumni international professional experience through the university's new career services center, Centro de Vinculación y Empleabilidad UPANA.
The ECCEDU program is designed to strengthen education by combining classroom learning with practical job experience in an international context. It focuses on developing both technical and interpersonal skills relevant to the global labor market.
Eligible applicants include undergraduate or graduate students from Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, and Systems Engineering programs who have at least a B2 level of English proficiency. The program includes three weeks of lectures, four weeks of internship placement, networking events, a field trip, a certificate upon completion, and a graduation ceremony. Activities will take place in either Prague or Berlin. Financial aid options are available for those accepted into the program.
Throughout the duration of the program, ECCEDU will provide support services to participants. This includes access to alumni groups intended to foster ongoing connections after the conclusion of the internship.
“We are very excited to launch this new program for our students and alumni. This experience will open a world of unthinkable opportunities for them. The hands-on work experience in an international setting, putting into practice what they have learn in class, learning about another culture, and building a global network will definitely broaden their horizons,” said M.A. Ingrid Rivas, Manager at Centro de Vinculación y Empleabilidad.
