Cruz Roja Guatemalteca has activated its preventive alert protocol in response to a reported bomb threat at Hospital Roosevelt, one of the largest and busiest hospitals in Guatemala. The organization quickly deployed its immediate response teams to the site following information about a possible explosive device at the hospital.

Authorities requested support from several institutions, including Cruz Roja Guatemalteca, to coordinate an appropriate response aimed at ensuring the safety of patients, healthcare workers, and visitors present during the incident. Specialized prehospital care personnel from Cruz Roja Guatemalteca were mobilized to provide urgent assistance if necessary and to help with evacuation efforts as directed by authorities.

Cruz Roja Guatemalteca has worked closely with other emergency organizations such as the Policía Nacional Civil (PNC) and fire departments, both of which have also sent specialized units to manage the situation. Meanwhile, hospital officials have implemented internal security protocols, restricted access to the building, and evacuated its facilities.

The organization issued recommendations for relatives of hospitalized patients: "It is recommended that family members of patients hospitalized at Hospital Roosevelt stay informed through official channels and avoid coming to the hospital unless absolutely necessary."

Cruz Roja Guatemalteca stated it will remain on-site until authorities declare the hospital safe and all danger has passed. Teams are prepared to respond in case of medical emergencies or conduct evacuations if required.
