Cruz Roja Guatemalteca, in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency (ACNUR), recently organized a self-care workshop for humanitarian workers. The event included participants from Refugio de la Niñez, the Norwegian Council, and staff from Cruz Roja Guatemalteca.

The workshop focused on strategies and practices to help attendees manage stress and maintain emotional well-being. Through interactive activities and informational sessions, participants received tools and techniques to balance work with personal life and address the emotional challenges often faced by those in humanitarian roles.

Organizers highlighted that the involvement of multiple organizations demonstrates the importance of a collaborative approach to mental health care for frontline responders. The event not only provided practical self-care strategies but also helped strengthen support networks among participating institutions, encouraging a culture of well-being within the humanitarian sector.
