The Guatemalan Social Security Institute (IGSS) has announced an external call for applications to fill the position of blacksmith at the General Hospital of Diseases in Guatemala City. The vacancy is for the role of "Herrero A," and interested candidates must submit their applications by November 6, 2025.
According to IGSS, this recruitment process is managed by its Sub-management of Human Resources. The job opening aims to strengthen support services at one of the country’s main public hospitals.
The announcement is part of a series of ongoing hiring efforts by IGSS, which recently included calls for medical specialists in internal medicine and gynecology, as well as a general dentist for other facilities.
"El Instituto Guatemalteco de Seguridad Social a través de la Subgerencia de Recursos Humanos invita a participar en la convocatoria externa para la plaza vacante 011: Puesto: Herrero A Ubicación: Hospital General de Enfermedades, Ciudad de Guatemala Fecha límite de recepción de solicitudes: 06 de noviembre de 2025," stated the organization in its official notice.
