Hospital Roosevelt marked International Women's Day with a commemorative event to honor the contributions of women working at the facility. The gathering included remarks from Executive Director Dr. Johanna Samayoa, Medical Deputy Director Dr. Luz Abad, and Technical Deputy Director Dr. Juan Luis Tunchez.

Dr. Johana Samayoa addressed attendees, stating: “We are the engine that drives the world and this hospital. We are givers of life and examples of tireless struggle. There are no limits to achieving our goals and dreams. Thank you for being a fundamental part of this team that works with vocation and commitment at Hospital Roosevelt.”

The event brought together women professionals from various medical, technical, and administrative fields who play key roles in hospital operations. May Barrera, a postpartum coach and wellness advisor, led a motivational talk titled “Being a mother does not mean ceasing to be a woman.” In her presentation, she highlighted the importance for mothers to prioritize their well-being, honor their essence, and embrace their femininity without guilt while promoting balance between motherhood and personal development.

The day concluded with refreshments and raffles for participants as an opportunity to strengthen community spirit among staff members.
