The Guatemalan Institute of Tourism (INGUAT) has announced the official season for its Ballet Folklórico, in collaboration with the INGUAT Marimba and the Regional Costumes Unit. The event aims to encourage domestic tourism by showcasing performances based on Guatemalan cultural values, including traditions, legends, and expressions from various ethnic groups.

According to INGUAT, "This show is an integrated display of different artistic expressions and folkloric projection that reflects the cultural richness of Guatemala."

The performances will take place at Teatro de Cámara “Hugo Carrillo” within the Centro Cultural Miguel Ángel Asturias. Scheduled dates in July include Saturdays on the 8th, 15th, and 29th at 5:00 p.m., and Sundays on the 9th, 16th, and 30th at 4:00 p.m.

Admission is free. Fifty artists will participate in each performance. According to organizers, this creates a unique experience where legacy and history are revived.

Those interested can register for tickets online through a provided form (https://forms.gle/Fi7uQpVYQXmn6dpm9). Tickets can be collected at INGUAT’s central offices or by visiting their location at 7ma. Avenida 1-17 Zona 4, Centro Cívico, Guatemala.
