The Guatemalan Ministry of Economy has recently highlighted its ongoing initiatives to promote trade and support local businesses through a series of announcements on its official Twitter account.
On November 15, 2025, the Ministry reported, "El Viceministerio de Integración y Comercio Exterior realizó en Jalapa la capacitación 'Oportunidades de los tratados comerciales vigentes en Guatemala', el espacio reunió a 35 participantes del sector público, academia y pequeños empresarios. Durante la jornada se profundizó en https://t.co/eppcuqno4q". The event focused on educating representatives from government, academia, and small business sectors about opportunities arising from Guatemala's current trade agreements.
Furthering its support for Guatemalan enterprises in international markets, the Ministry announced on November 16, 2025: "El Ministerio de Economía anuncia con orgullo que 8 empresas guatemaltecas participarán en la feria Private Label Manufacturers Association PLMA, el evento de marcas privadas más grande de Estados Unidos, puedes visitar el Pabellón de Guatemala del 16 al 18 de noviembre en el https://t.co/T8ScjUPAO7". The statement highlights the participation of eight Guatemalan companies in the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) fair in the United States—recognized as one of the largest private label events in that country.

The Ministry of Economy regularly conducts training sessions and supports business delegations abroad as part of its mandate to foster economic growth and integration. These efforts are designed to improve knowledge among local stakeholders about international trade opportunities and to strengthen Guatemala’s presence in global markets.
