On November 13, 2000, the IGSS Clinic of Villa Nueva was established to serve affiliated residents of the municipality. According to Susana Noriega, supervisor of Social Work, the clinic began offering pediatric services when its facilities opened in February 2023.
The clinic staff work daily to provide comprehensive care to patients. The medical unit offers general medicine and common illness clinics, as well as specialties such as traumatology, gynecology, surgery, neurology, cardiology, dentistry, pediatrics, nutrition, psychology, and radiology.
“Our objective is to provide care that improves the health of our beneficiaries,” said Dr. Alejandro Berganza, Director of the Clinic.
To support more accurate diagnoses and aid patient recovery, the clinic has modern equipment and technology. In response to increased demand from beneficiaries, an annex was inaugurated in May 2024. This expansion added six general medicine clinics dedicated to serving pensioners and retirees along with some specialty services.
Both facilities offer a range of services including general practitioners and specialists, social workers, nursing staff, health education programs, pharmacy services, contracted services providers, clinical laboratory testing, administrative support functions such as secretarial work and medical records management.
The administration aims for high-quality service at every stage—from registration through medication delivery—to ensure effective operation for all patients.
