The Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Guatemala reported on November 12, 2025, that the second day of the Festival Musicoral 2025 took place at the former Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad de San Carlos, now known as Paraninfo Universitario. The event featured choral performances and paid tribute to a notable figure in Guatemalan music.

According to the Ministry's official account, "#Guatemala | Una fiesta de voces y armonía se vivió en la segunda jornada del Festival Musicoral 2025, que se lleva a cabo esta semana en la antigua Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad de San Carlos, hoy Paraninfo Universitario." (November 12, 2025).

The Ministry also highlighted that this year's festival is dedicated to Isabel Ciudad Real. In a separate post on November 12, it stated: "Este año, el Festival honra el legado de la destacada y recientemente fallecida pianista, directora y docente Isabel Ciudad Real."

Another update from the same date noted audience participation and performances by multiple groups: "Cinco agrupaciones corales diferentes mostraron su talento y capacidad armónica ante el público que llenó el aula magna del Paraninfo para apreciar la magia de la música coral."

The Festival Musicoral is an annual event organized by Guatemala's Ministry of Culture and Sports. It brings together choral groups from across the country to perform in venues of historical significance such as the Paraninfo Universitario. The dedication to Isabel Ciudad Real reflects her influence as a pianist, conductor, and educator within Guatemala’s cultural community.
