Producers in three communities of Dolores, Petén have received four demonstration plots aimed at improving local bean seed production. The initiative, led by the Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Alimentación (MAGA), seeks to enhance agricultural development and ensure access to quality seeds.

The Centro Maya, Naranjito, and Monte Los Olivos communities were provided with these plots as part of efforts to strengthen local agriculture. Along with the plots, producers also received management plans and essential supplies needed for cultivating beans.

According to MAGA, "the initiative is implemented through the Agricultural Department of the Directorate of Agricultural Development (DAGRO) under the Deputy Ministry for Petén Affairs (VIPETÉN), with the goal of improving productive capacities and promoting agricultural development in the region."

This project is intended to support sustainable growth in local agriculture by providing resources and technical guidance to farmers in Dolores.
