Representatives from the Departmental Directorate of Education, along with teachers and school principals in San Raymundo, Guatemala, held a meeting focused on strengthening education about respect, empathy, and responsibility toward animals.
During the meeting, the Animal Welfare Unit (UBA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) presented topics related to animal protection and welfare. The UBA also discussed plans for future training sessions aimed at students and parents in the municipality.
The UBA stated its ongoing commitment to work together with the education sector to promote a culture of animal welfare both in classrooms and at home. "The UBA reaffirms its commitment to work in coordination with the educational sector to foster a culture of animal welfare from classrooms and homes, thus promoting the development of a more conscious and supportive society for all living beings," said representatives from UBA.
