Ministry supports Santa Ana farmers with bean seed and agricultural supplies

Farmers from the communities of El Mango, Nueva Verapaz, La Unión II, and Purushilá in Santa Ana, Petén have received bean seeds, granular fertilizer, and agrochemical packages as part of an initiative to boost agricultural production in the region.

The event was organized by the Directorate of Agricultural Development (DAGRO), through the Agricultural Department of the Deputy Ministry for Petén Affairs (VIPETÉN), in coordination with the Municipal Rural Extension Agency (AMER) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA).

According to officials, "This support is part of the bean seed production projects promoted by VIPETÉN. These are aimed at improving crop productivity, strengthening food security, and supporting farming families in the department."

These efforts are designed to increase local agricultural yields and contribute to food stability for families involved.
