The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) in Zacapa has organized a training session on "Non-violence and Bullying" for young people at the Rural Development Learning Center (CADER) in Plan de Los Pinos, Cabañas. The event is part of the Rural Home component promoted by MAGA.
Twenty-four youths participated in the session, which included representatives from the National Youth Council (CONJUVE) and the Community Violence Prevention Unit (UPCV). The program featured a football match to encourage teamwork without discrimination.
According to MAGA, "The training aimed to promote values such as respect, tolerance and inclusion, and provide tools so that young people can resolve conflicts peacefully and constructively."
MAGA operates CADER centers throughout Guatemala where young people are encouraged to become agents of change in their communities. These centers focus on rural development and strengthening skills related to productive practices.
