The National Central School of Agriculture (ENCA) and the International Regional Organization for Agricultural Health (OIRSA) have signed a Technical, Academic, and Scientific Cooperation Agreement aimed at improving the prevention and management of plant and animal health risks in the country.

According to the agreement, both organizations will collaborate on research projects and training programs to strengthen innovation in the agricultural sector. The goal is to provide updated tools and knowledge for farmers and the general population to better protect crops and livestock. The agreement emphasizes how both institutions can complement each other’s objectives in matters related to agricultural health.

The signing took place during the 2025 Regional Day of Agricultural Health, which also marked OIRSA's 72nd anniversary. The event included participation from various national organizations as well as officials from the Directorate of Plant Health of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MAGA). MAGA has expressed its support for ENCA and ongoing collaboration with OIRSA.

The day featured several activities that showcased innovation within the sector. These included informational stands, product exhibitions, folk dances, and technical demonstrations.

Among these demonstrations were presentations on drone technology applied to agriculture, specialized canine teams for agricultural health tasks, and a technical conference about screwworms—highlighting practical applications of scientific knowledge.
