The Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Guatemala has announced a series of cultural events through its official Twitter account, highlighting both local and international artistic initiatives.

On November 12, 2025, the ministry posted about an upcoming theater showcase in Escuintla: "#Escuintla | ¡La Muestra de Teatro Departamental “Norma Padilla” llega a la Ciudad de las Palmeras! Del 14 al 22 de noviembre 19 grupos teatrales se presentarán en el escenario del Centro Cultural de Escuintla y tú puedes ser testigo de este derroche de talento." The event will feature performances by 19 theater groups at the Centro Cultural de Escuintla.

In a follow-up tweet on the same day, the ministry invited the public to learn more about the schedule and participate in these free presentations: "Conoce la programación de presentaciones gratuitas y acompáñanos a disfrutar de grandes historias. Sumérgete en colores, sonidos y tradiciones que han viajado desde Asia para encontrarse con Guatemala. #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero". This event aims to introduce Guatemalan audiences to various aspects of Korean culture through visual arts and performances.

The Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes is responsible for promoting cultural activities throughout Guatemala, supporting both national traditions and international exchanges as part of its mandate.
