The third season of the Agroclimatic Technical Tables (MTA) began on November 27, 2025, in Sacatepéquez. The event serves as a platform for technical dialogue, inter-institutional coordination, and specialized analysis to better understand climate behavior and provide agricultural recommendations adapted to climate variability.

During the session, technicians from the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (INSIVUMEH) presented the climate outlook for December 2025 to March 2026. This information is intended to guide agricultural planning efforts.

The technical team from the Directorate of Geographic Information, Strategy and Risk Management (DIGEGR) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) shared agroclimatic analyses and data to support decision-making processes.

Producers from municipalities with significant agricultural coverage participated by sharing their own agroclimatic recommendations for crops such as vegetables, basic grains, coffee, and avocado. These suggestions combined local experience with available scientific information.

The MTA brings together a range of participants including public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations, international cooperation agencies, organized farmer groups, and academic institutions. In this edition, leaders and representatives from farmer associations played a prominent role in demonstrating collective commitment toward more sustainable and resilient agriculture.

A notable part of the event was the involvement of children who presented results from their work during the sessions. Their participation is part of an effort to engage younger generations in understanding climate issues and agricultural production.
