In an early morning post, the Ministry stated: "Lamentamos profundamente el sensible fallecimiento de Celso Ajpacajá. Expresamos nuestras condolencias y nos solidarizamos con su familia en estos momentos." (November 9, 2025).
Later that day, the Ministry commemorated a milestone for one of Guatemala's most recognized artistic groups: "¡Feliz aniversario! El Coro Nacional de Guatemala fue creado el 9 de noviembre de 1966 y hoy celebra 59 años de trayectoria artística. Fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación en 1993, según Decreto 29-93." (November 9, 2025).
A subsequent tweet highlighted the dedication and professionalism within the National Choir: "Esta institución artística, está conformada por hombres y mujeres que honran con disciplina, pasión y compromiso al público y la excelencia musical guatemalteca, un camino para compartir y difundir el arte por medio del canto profesional. #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero" (November 9, 2025).
The National Choir of Guatemala was established in 1966 and has since become a prominent cultural institution in the country. In recognition of its contributions to national culture and music, it was declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation by Decree 29-93 in 1993.
