Mineduc Guatemala urges action against sexual violence and reports progress in school renovations

The Ministry of Education of Guatemala, known as Mineduc Guatemala, recently published a series of posts on its official Twitter account addressing issues related to sexual violence and improvements in educational infrastructure across the country.

On November 8, 2025, Mineduc Guatemala posted: "¡Hablarlo cambia todo! No tengas miedo de denunciar la violencia sexual #NoMásViolenciaSexual #1510Cuéntalo #Denuncia https://t.co/7fiWUkl6aM". In another post on the same day, the ministry emphasized available support channels for victims by stating: "¡El silencio no es opción! Si necesitas ayuda, llama #1510Cuéntalo #NoMásViolenciaSexual #Denuncia https://t.co/wGW3hARWxm".

On November 9, 2025, Mineduc Guatemala highlighted efforts to improve learning environments throughout the nation. The ministry wrote: " Más de 18 mil centros educativos en todo el país han sido remozados por el Ministerio de Educación, fortaleciendo espacios seguros, dignos y adecuados para el aprendizaje de las niñas, los niños, adolescentes y jóvenes. Te invitamos a visitar la página de remozamientos y https://t.co/1PktQb1UbE".

The Ministry of Education has been actively promoting reporting mechanisms for cases of sexual violence and encouraging victims to use dedicated helplines such as "1510 Cuéntalo." The government has also invested in refurbishing over 18,000 educational centers nationwide with the aim of providing safer and more suitable spaces for students' learning experiences.
