The Orquesta Carlos F. Novella is recognized for its role in promoting classical music within Guatemala. The group Elenco Necroturismo is known locally for its performances centered around Guatemalan legends and historical narratives. Initiatives such as embroidery workshops are part of broader efforts to maintain and revitalize ancestral knowledge among indigenous communities in regions like Sacatepéquez, where Kaqchikel culture has deep roots. The Premio Nacional de Literatura “Miguel Ángel Asturias” is one of Guatemala’s most prestigious literary awards, named after Nobel laureate Miguel Ángel Asturias and awarded annually to honor outstanding contributions to national literature.
