A group of around 100 representatives from the agricultural production sector and related associations participated in a videoconference focused on evaluating the Performance, Vision, and Strategy (DVE) for plant health services. The event aimed to strengthen the country's phytosanitary capacity.

During the session, an anonymous survey was presented to members of the agricultural industry. This survey sought to gather feedback and opinions from users about the plant health services provided by Sanidad Vegetal. According to organizers, these results will help improve strategic planning and enhance technical support offered to national producers.

The DVE is part of a collaborative evaluation process intended to increase institutional efficiency, transparency in management, and agricultural competitiveness. Organizers say it also supports sustainable development within Guatemala’s phytosanitary system and aims to improve service for users of the National Plant Protection Organization (ONPF).

The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), through its Directorate of Plant Health under the Vice Ministry of Agricultural Health and Regulations (VISAR), in coordination with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA).

"The DVE is part of a collaborative evaluation process that promotes institutional efficiency, transparency in management, and agricultural competitiveness, contributing to sustainable development of the phytosanitary system. All this is aimed at improving user service by Guatemala's National Plant Protection Organization," according to organizers.
