The Guatemalan Ministry of Economy has recently used its official social media account to highlight initiatives supporting local entrepreneurship and business growth in the country’s western region. The posts, published between November 5 and 6, 2025, focus on events aimed at fostering connection, training, and access to financial tools for small businesses.
On November 5, 2025, the Ministry announced an event dedicated to women entrepreneurs in Huehuetenango.
Later that day, the Ministry shared highlights from a workshop held in Panajachel. This message emphasizes the goal of increasing credit access and encouraging financial innovation among local businesses.
On November 6, 2025, the Ministry followed up with another post about this workshop series: "El Séptimo Taller sobre Garantías Mobiliarias en Sololá, reunió a profesionales que entienden el territorio, los retos y las oportunidades.
These activities are part of ongoing efforts by Guatemala's government to support micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MIPYMEs), which play a significant role in national economic development. Through such events and workshops—particularly those focusing on credit guarantees—the Ministry aims to address regional challenges faced by entrepreneurs and promote sustainable business practices across Guatemala.
