A group of women producers in the Unión Bayer community, located in El Chal, Petén, have received broiler chickens to support their agricultural projects. The initiative was organized by the Municipal Agency for Rural Extension (AMER) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), working together with the Municipality of El Chal.

Fifty broiler chickens were delivered to members of the Learning Center for Rural Development (CADER). This effort is part of ongoing support measures aimed at strengthening local poultry production.

Technical staff also provided guidance and assistance at an already established farm. They offered recommendations on managing poultry houses and preventing diseases among the birds.

According to MAGA, these activities are part of its continued follow-up on local productive projects. The ministry stated that its goal is "to strengthen the capacities of women producers and promote sustainability in rural production."
