Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes shares highlights from OSNGuate concert and drama school invitation

The Ministerio de Cultura y Deportes de Guatemala shared updates on recent cultural events and educational opportunities through its official X account. The tweets highlighted a concert by the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Guatemala (OSNGuate), as well as an invitation to the public to engage with dramatic arts at the Escuela de Arte Dramático.

On November 5, 2025, the Ministry posted that "La @OSNGuate presentó su XVIII Concierto de la Temporada de Música de Cámara, bajo el nombre 'Historia de Soldado', que rinde homenaje a una de las piezas del gran Stravinsky, la cual formó parte del repertorio en la Sala de conciertos del Conservatorio Nacional de Música." This concert paid tribute to Igor Stravinsky's work "L'Histoire du soldat," and was held at the National Conservatory of Music's concert hall.

In a subsequent tweet on the same day, the Ministry added that "El programa se complementó con composiciones de Khachaturian y Glick que fueron interpretadas por el trío de solistas integrado por la pianista invitada Esmeralda Pazos de México, junto a los guatemaltecos Sergio Reyes en el clarinete y Alvaro Reyes en el violín." The event featured guest pianist Esmeralda Pazos from Mexico, performing alongside Guatemalan musicians Sergio Reyes (clarinet) and Alvaro Reyes (violin).

Later that day, another post promoted participation in dramatic arts: "#Guatemala | ¿Te atreves a que tu vida sea tu mejor obra? Aprende a vivir 100 vidas. Visita nuestra Escuela de Arte Dramático. 24 calle 3-81 zona 1 interior Teatro Nacional #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero" The message encouraged individuals to explore theater education at their facility located inside Guatemala City's National Theater.
