MAGA Guatemala, the official account of Guatemala's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (Ministerio de Agricultura, Ganadería y Alimentación), published a series of posts on November 4, 2025, providing updates on agricultural governance and public service advisories.
#ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero https://t.co/yhoXQGnilF". The tweet emphasizes prompt treatment to prevent infestations by the screwworm parasite.
Another message posted at 23:30 UTC addressed the distribution process for fertilizer programs: "Durante el proceso de entrega de fertilizante no realice ningún pago. #ElPuebloDignoEsPrimero https://t.co/oElzR6ABOi". The ministry advised recipients not to make any payments during fertilizer distribution and encouraged immediate reporting of any solicitation attempts to designated hotlines.
The Junta Interamericana de Agricultura (JIA), referenced in the first tweet, is the highest governing body of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and convenes biennially with ministers from member states to discuss agricultural policy in the Americas. MAGA Guatemala regularly uses its official channels to inform citizens about best practices in animal care and measures against fraud or corruption during government aid distribution programs.
