A group of women producers in the Entre Ríos community, located in the municipality of Sayaxché, Petén, have completed a successful cucumber harvest at their communal garden. The activity was carried out by members of a Rural Development Learning Center (CADER).
Technical staff from the Municipal Agency for Rural Extension (AMER), part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA) in Sayaxché, provided support during the harvest. They reiterated their commitment to offering technical assistance and ongoing support to encourage sustainable agricultural development in local communities.
During the event, participants also took part in training focused on efficient crop management and proper ripening techniques. The aim was to improve both productivity and product quality to meet local and regional market demands.
According to organizers, this initiative marks significant progress in strengthening both organizational skills and productive capacity among rural women in the area.
